When adding or editing a large disk (> 4TB) with the vSphere Client, the following message is displayed?
“Disk Cap Control: Value xxx is out of range (1048576,4398046511104)
No panic, this happens when you try to manage such a large disk at a virtual machine with hardware version 8 or later, not using the vSphere Web Client.
Solution is to use the vSphere Web Client when you want to edit or add disks larger than 4 TB to a virtual machine.
