Just noticed a post at the VMware Education and Certification Blog.
VMware has extended the VCP recertification deadline from March 10, 2015 to May 8, 2015.
One reason for this decision is, that they want to give more time to partners and customers to get recertified.
A second reason is that there were some issues during the last recertification weekend with the myLearn system (some candidates were not able to login and get authorized to take an exam).
Because of these reasons, VMware has extended the availability for the VCPD550 delta exam, too.
The delta exam is now available till May 8, 2015 – I have written about the advantages of this exam in an earlier post: Reminder: VCPD550 delta exam availability ends March 10 + code for 50% off VCP-NV exam
For all VCPs who did meet the original deadline (March 10, 2015) VMware offers a 65% discount if you upgrade to VCP6 by August 31, 2015. Details are not finalized yet, but there will be a VCP6 migration exam you can take.
