VMworld 2014 Kick-off (Sunday)

Travelling to VMworld Barcelona was a little bit tricky this year. Due to a technical problem of the airplane and bad weather conditions, our flight from Linz to Frankfurt was delayed for more than three hours.

As a result we failed to catch our onward flight from Frankfurt to Barcelona… so we travelled about 15 hours for a course that normaly takes 5 hours 🙁

But lessons learned: if a switch in an airplane is defect due humidity and/or dirt – just play around with it till it is working again (solution from the pilot)

But nevertheless we finally arrived just in time at Sunday evening for the vRockstar Party.

vRockstar is organized by Patrick Redknap, Marco Broeken, Robert Payne and Hans De Leenheer and is the unoffical VMworld kick-off.

Thanks to the sponsors (VMUG, EMC, Nutanix and Cisco) we really had a great time in the Hard Rock Cafe! Here are some impressions of the party:
