Last year (January 2015) was the first time that I counted the number of blog posts published in the vUniverse in 2014.
At that time I evaluated about 300 blogs with a total of more than 11.000 posts.
Since then a lot happend.
I built a vBlog Database and added a lot of new blogs and additional stats (like country, Twitter handle,…). This database currently includes 415 blogs and some more stats currently not visible for the public.
With January 1st 2016 I started my scripts to count the numbers for 2015.
At the moment 50 percent of the stats are done and verified. Unfortunately it is not possible to count the blog posts of every blog automatically (depends on the blog software, theme and the rss feed) – so I need some more days to complete the work.
But what I can definitely say: as last year the numbers are amazing! Right now I have counted more than 7.700 blog posts! And more than one time I found great posts I overlooked during the year, sometimes from blogs I was not familiar with.
If you are a blogger, and your blog is not listed in the vblog database you can use the form “Suggest a blog”. You can find it in the top right corner of the vblog database.
